I have put together these pages to help website owners remove the nasty Yellow and Green links caused by the TopText and Surf+ Plug-ins, the code also stops the double click feature of the Surf+ plug-in.

I will be enhancing the code of the next few weeks/months/years as new plug-ins come available and implementing any bug fixes. If you have any suggestions to improve the code please feel free to contact me.

Script Features -- Version 2 Beta 3

•  Stops TopText, Surf+ and Other plug-ins from altering the page source code.
•  Stops the redirection caused by double clicking (Surf+ Plug-in).
•  Should not do anything if the plug-ins are not installed.*
•  Should stop any future plug-ins.
•  Does not use refresh like some other fixes, so it saves bandwidth and server resources.
•  PHP, ASP, CGI compatable.
•  Does not rely on windows objects to detect the plug-ins like some other fixes.*
•  Time to install the fix has been kept to a minimal level, only minor page changes are needed.
•  Should stop plug-ins on other browsers.
•  Only acts if visitor is using Internet Explorer.
  
  

Problems with the script

•  The double click fix could be better.
•  Could work better on pages with banner ads.
•  Could be better at localizing the html rewrite.
•  Could be quicker.
